Delete a product list

Deleting a product list from a file

This is the typical case where your supplier provides you with a CSV or Excel file containing a list of products that have become obsolete. How do you remove them from your PrestaShop catalog?

  1. Use the import function in Merlin Backoffice to move products into a temporary category in the store (which contains no others).

  2. Once the import is complete, display the products in this category, select them and use the “Bulk action” / “Delete” button to remove all these products.

Note that this also deletes their photos.

Delete products from a list of identifiers

This is the case when you know the identifiers (also works with a list of references, barcodes or even names)
Let's take the example of the list 12,34,102,31.

  1. Click on the “Other prefilters” button at the top of the product table.
  2. Activate one of the two prefilters and set it to “Identifiers”, “In”, and fill the prefilter value with “(12,34,102,31)” (parentheses are optional).
  3. Click on the all button to recursively select all categories.
  4. As in the first case, display the products, select them and use the “Grouped action” / “Delete” button to remove them.
