In all three cases the culprit was the Avast anti virus , which after an update , blocks both programs for an unknown reason. The brutal solution is to disable Avast, but there is a softer one : Go to Avast settings and open the " Exclusions " tab. Ask to add a new exclusion, then browse through the C: hard drive and select the folder in which you installed PP or PC. Regards Franck
